How it works

From a tap on your ad to you standing in the yard

We run ads in your service area. When a homeowner fills out your landing page, we text and call them in your company's name, aiming for under a minute. They pick a time from your open calendar, get a reminder before you arrive, and you mark whether they were there. You only pay us for the ones where they were.

That is the whole loop. Below is each step, what you see, what the homeowner sees, and what we need from you to make it work.

1. Ads go live in your service area

We build the ads and run them in ad accounts set up in your business's name. You pay the ad platforms directly, on your own card. We ask for room to spend at least $50 a day, about $1,500 a month. Less than that and a month of ads doesn't produce enough leads to tell what is working.

The ads only show in the area written down when you sign up. That area is yours: while you're in, we won't run ads for another tree company there.

A homeowner who taps the ad lands on a page we build and host for you. It has your company name on it and one job: get their job details and a cell number. You don't need a website for this, and your website, if you have one, stays as it is.

2. A text and a call, in your company's name

The moment the form comes in, we text the homeowner and call them. The text says who it is from (your company), what they asked about, and offers times. The call follows right behind it. We aim for under a minute from the form to the first text.

Speed is the point of this step. A homeowner who just asked about a tree is still holding the phone. An hour later they have asked two other companies, and the first one to answer usually gets the visit. That is the gap we close for you while you're up a tree or running the chipper.

3. The estimate goes on your calendar

Homeowners can only book times that are open on your calendar. When they pick one, it lands there with their name, address and the job they described. You keep your open times current and block off the days you're full. If you're booked out for weeks, email us and we pause the ads.

Before the visit, the homeowner gets a reminder with the time and a way to reply if they need to move it. Most missed estimates are people who forgot or whose day changed. A reminder they can answer catches both.

4. You go out and walk the job

You show up at the booked time, walk the job and write the quote, the same way you do now. Closing the job is yours. We don't quote for you and we don't take a cut of the work.

5. You mark each estimate, and only shown ones bill

Within 3 business days, you mark each estimate shown or not shown, the way we set up with you. An estimate counts as shown when a homeowner booked through your ads, you showed up at the booked time, and they were there to walk the job. If you don't mark one, it counts as shown.

These never bill: leads outside your service area, leads asking for work you don't do, homeowners who don't show, duplicate bookings, and estimates you cancel. We bill once a week. If a charge looks wrong, email us within 14 days of the bill and we'll check the records and credit any that didn't count. The full pricing terms are here.

What we need from you

  • Access to your ad accounts and your calendar. The accounts stay in your name. You keep them if you stop.
  • Open times that are current. The calendar is what homeowners book against, so it has to be right.
  • A heads-up when things change. A new county, a service you stopped offering, a crew down for a week.
  • Showing up at the booked time. It is the one thing we can't do for you, and the reason we turn away companies that can't.

How long it takes to start

Ads go live 1 to 2 weeks after the setup fee is paid and we have access to your ad accounts and calendar. In that time we build your landing page, set up the text, call, booking and reminders, and write the ads.

There is no long-term contract. Email us and the ads go off within 2 business days. The landing page we host comes down with them.

Questions owners ask about the process

Who actually texts and calls my leads?

We do, in your company's name, so the homeowner hears from the company they asked. You don't have to stop work to answer. Your job starts at the booked time.

What if a homeowner wants to talk to me first?

They can. Some people want to hear from the owner before they book, and we pass those to you. Most just want a time that works and someone who shows up.

What if we get too busy?

Leads can only book times that are open on your calendar, so block off the days you're full. If you're booked out for weeks, email us and we'll pause the ads.

Do I need a website for this to work?

No. The ads send homeowners to a landing page we build and host for you. Your website, if you have one, stays as it is.

How do I mark an estimate shown or not shown?

The way we set up with you when you start, within 3 business days of the visit. An estimate you don't mark counts as shown, so marking the no-shows is what keeps your bill right.

Keep your crews booked.

If your crews can take on more estimates, answer five questions and pick a time to talk.
